With the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, product-level carbon data has become a condition of exporting to Europe. In Türkiye, the same data is turning into a domestic obligation through TR ETS.
Carbon data is therefore not an environmental department report; it is a board indicator in terms of export access, financing conditions and the sustainability commitments in customer contracts.
Recommended first step: an environmental and carbon risk screening and a 90-day data plan. Investments made before it is clear which facility, which product and which verification level require data are both costly and incomplete.
